Hello followers, we're here again :)
We're sure that everybody become familiar with this famous movie. It isn't?
The history of the ship that sank while crossing the Atlantic Ocean captivated everyone and made us mourn. We're sure that many of you would have liked to be there (of course, before sinking).
Now it's possible! The Australian magnate Clive Palmer plans to build a copy of the famous transatlantic, which will travel in its inaugural trip from England to New York.
A replica of the legendary Titanic, Titanic II, will cross the Atlantic from England to New York in 2016. The new boat will be as luxurious as the original Titanic, but of course will have XXI century technology and the latest navigation and safety systems.
The original
Titanic was nearly 270 meters in length and 53 in height, weighing
approximately 40,000 tons and a capacity of over 2,200 people on board. On the
night of 14 April 1912 the ship struck an iceberg south of the coast of
Terranova and sank in less than three hours, killing more than 1,500 people,
including passengers and crew.
One single difference:
The only difference between the original and the "Titanic II" is that the coal engine in the first model will be replaced for a diesel engine.
The Titanic II will have 840 rooms and nine decks, like its predecessor, as well as having "the latest bells and whistles, such as gyms and swimming pools on board, library and high-class restaurants." According to Palmer, the inaugural trip is scheduled for the end of 2016 from England to North America.
What do you think about this cruise? Do you like to go?
